A quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by President Dave Kaiser at 9:00 A.M.

George Schwartz made a motion and Jon Cox seconded it to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion passed.

Treasurer Elvira Tucker presented the Treasurers report. She reported that NWACC is in good financial position at this point. There was discussion about what to do with the excess funds for this year. All Reps will take the question back to their respective Clubs and solicit suggestions. The decision should benefit all Clubs. A couple of ideas suggested in the meeting were to improve the NWACC autocross equipment, which is currently owned by Rose City and CGCC and to buy better year end trophies. This will be discussed at the next NWACC meeting which will be held at the CGCC Five Star in DuPont the week-end of July10-12.

George Schwartz gave the Vice President’s report. He led a discussion on the maintenance of the Shelton airport. A meeting was held with the Port of Olympia. There is not a way to keep the bees/bugs out of the area due to ecological reasons. George will have volunteers help before each autocross to see that the runway is swept and weeds and grass trimmed.

George reminded all that there would be NO lunch served t the NWACC sponsored autocrosses.

New Business

Mike Marum, Columbia River announced that they are holding a NWACC sponsored Car Show on July 4th. Let’s all support our NWACC Club Shows!

Current planned shows this summer are: three Show and Shine for NWACC points, There will be NO concours for NWACC points, though Rose City will have concours judged show at their Rose City Classic, and there will be 6 autocrosses for NWACC points this year.

Gate security and manning possibilities for the gate at Shelton were discussed. At this point the best suggestion was to have a rotating assignment of participants in the autocross. This will be trialed at the May 17th event. More conversation to follow at the next meeting.

ALL results of the autocrosses will be posted on the website with scores being posted at the end of the season.

Helmets: The regulations today are Snell 90. The suggestion was made to up the rating to a Snell 95. This will be discussed further and would require a rule change proposal at the November meeting to be effective in 2010.

A person running a Corvette must run the same Corvette all season to receive NWACC points for that car. Points not allowed for a participant to race several cars during the season.

More training at the autocross events was discussed so that all become more familiar with the use of flags, fire extinguishers, communications, etc.

There will be a new tech form designed to have participants sign.

Tim Cox announced that the Marque Club will be hosting the Year End Award Banquet on November 7, 2009. The plan is to have the dinner at the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn.

The insurance binder for events was discussed. The fee is $127.00 for less than 100 entrants, and $167.00 for over 100. Adjustments would be mad according to the number attending.

The motion to adjourn was made by Ron Clark. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 10.44 A.M.

The next meeting will be held at noon at the CGCC Five Star event on Saturday July 11th in DuPont.
