Minutes: President, Ron Waller opened the meeting at 9:05 AM and welcomed all members. Ron introduced new NWACC Reps Mike Lawrence (CGCC), Chris Malone (NWCA), and a guest to the meeting, Tim Cox, of CMCS. Ron reported that minutes from the February 7, 2004 meeting had been distributed to board members via email. Lona Hyatt, secretary, passed out hard copies to those who that wanted them. There being no corrections, a motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the February 7th minutes as written. Treasurer’s Report: Dave Kaiser, NWACC treasurer, presented the Treasurer’s Report for the period ending April 17, 2004 including detail all transactions since the February 7th meeting. Dave noted that the books are open to all members and anyone wishing to review them may do so at any time. Dave will email copies of this month’s financial report to all member clubs later today. Dave reported that Glass Odyssey Corvette Club of Bremerton has voted to join NWACC. They have 34 member units. They will be added to the official member roaster upon receipt of their initial dues payment. With the inclusion of Glass Odyssey we now have 11 clubs. Dave also reported that all member clubs have now remitted their annual dues. Dave thanked everyone for their timely payments. Old Business: George Schwartz, competition chairman, spoke briefly about NWACC membership cards and numbers. He handed out an information document and cards to all reps needing them. He also handed out Member At Large Application forms. He noted that the Competition Code booklet may be downloaded from the web site. Copies are also available at each club. George passed out Concours and Shine N Show judging sheets. Judging will be done by teams of 2 judges per class in S&S and 3 judges per class in Concours. The judges will work together and discuss each vehicle individually. They will monitor each other to assure that all judging rules (especially the 3 foot rule) are followed. They will complete 1 judging form per vehicle. The only change to Concours judging this year is the removal of Race Prepared and Custom Class. Anyone with a Race Prepared or Custom car can enter either type of show based on the year of the car. There were several changes to the Shine N Show judging sheet. After a long discussion, it was decided (9 for, 1 against) that the Shine N Show judging points and criteria will be: Exterior Max 55 points, Interior Max 40 points and Engine Max 5 points. Hoods up and the judging of the Engine is optional. There will be a separate, yet identical, judging sheet for all vehicle with less than 10,000 miles. George will make the appropriate changes to the judging sheets and post all documents on the web site for clubs to download or print. New Business: George brought up the fact the new 2005 cars will have increased horsepower and many of the LT4 cars may not be able to fairly compete against them in autocross. Discussion of this point was tabled until the 2005’s have an opportunity to compete and we can tell if this is a problem. A discussion was had in regard to the number of autocross runs per day that should count toward NWACC year end points. It was decided (unanimously) that the first 3 runs of each day should count regardless of how many runs an event is able to offer. George asked that the Reps go back to there clubs and ask how everyone felt about the rules and classed that we enacted last year. We will use the same guidelines this year but would like feedback for discussion over the winter. Ron wrote a letter on behalf of Rose City in regard to the old license plates and has received a nice letter back. Ron asked if there was a club which would volunteer to host the year-end banquet. Jon Cox, CdeO, offered to host it if no other club desires to do so. No other club was interested. CdeO will contact the Ft. Lewis Golf club to make the arrangements for November 6, 2004. Several club Reps spoke about and distributed filers for upcoming events. Please see the web site for further details and to download fliers and registration forms. The date and time of the next meeting will be announced later via email to club reps... The meeting was adjourned at 10:40 AM. Respectfully Submitted by, Lona R. Hyatt, NWACC Secretary
