NWACC MEETING MINUTES August 2, 2008
Rose City Classic KMART Parking Lot
Clubs in Attendance to form a quorum:
President Meagan Renick called the meeting to order at 11:07 AM.
A correction to the minutes was made. The date was corrected from August 2 to August 12th. The minutes were approved with the correction.
The treasurer’s report remains the same as reported in the meeting at the CGCC event. Accepted by the group.
Dave Kaiser brought up the Autocross Numbering proposal. This was trialed at the CGCC autocross and changes need to be discussed. For the RCC autocross there will be yellow numbers on both the front and the back windows. (The white numbers do not show up is the reason for the change and one window with a number is not enough.) It was agreed that Dave or George must be at the registration desk in order to keep the registration moving along as they are currently the only ones to assign numbers.
Dave also stated that there was a need for two more radios for better communication. (CGCC has since purchased two FRS’)
Dave discussed the fact that there was a company, High Performance Insurance that will insure “on site” insurance for track days. It was decided that individuals should peruse this type of insurance not NWACC. Dave will facilitate any questions or referrals.
Tim Cox discussed the formation of teams to act as Course Marshall’s. They would be trained in the equipment, announce the cars and drivers, provide the starter, and keep continuity. Tim Cox made the recommendation that we have four more radios, have EVERYONE follow the work to run rule and have them sign up at registration for their work time.
Meagan Renick announced that Glass Odyssey will host the November 1st Year End Awards Banquet in Bremerton. She passed out flyers and reminded everyone to promote the banquet to their clubs. The flyer is also on the NWACC website. Elvira Tucker announced that K&K would only charge for the highest portion of the event as in the past. Money will be refunded to CGCC.
The meeting was adjourned without a firm date for the next meeting. You will be notified when the date is finalized.
Reminder: New officers will be elected at the November meeting. Be thinking of qualified members who may wish to run for an NWACC office. There will be nominations at the next meeting.
