Meagan Renick, President, Dave Kaiser, Vice President, Barbara Waller, Secretary, Elvira Tucker, Treasurer, Ron Waller, Director, George Schwartz and Ron Waller co-chairs of the newly formed Autocross Committee.

A quorum was established.

Dave Kaiser, Chair of the Competition Committee reported that the theme for this year is to strive for consistency in all areas of the autocross. We will train the course workers better as well as the volunteers for the administration.

George advised that we had solid dates for the summer autocrosses at Sanderson Field in Shelton. The dates are:

May 11th

August 17th

September 25th

October 2nd

Rose City, Corvettes de Olympia and CGCC all volunteered to host one of the events.

George brought up an increase in the autocross to $40.00 per entrant. Motion seconded and unanimously passed.

The minutes of the November 3, 2007 meeting were approved with the correction of the date.

There was a discussion of members requesting permanent car numbers. Jeff Borio made the motion to allow these numbers for all autocrosses. The motion was seconded by Ron Waller and passed. The letters should be 8 inches in height for ease of reading. Please send your permanent number to Dave Kaiser. He will prepare a list of members with permanent numbers and make them available to all of the clubs for their events.

It was brought up that NWACC should market these autocrosses to the non-Corvette clubs as well.  This, subject to the 50-60 car limit we are able to handle and still giving all participants several runs per day.  It was also discussed that maybe we could consider using Saturday to host "fun-runs" or training for the Novice racers.  No final decision was made on this topic.

The vote was polled for the proposed changes to the Show and Shine and the Concours classifications. The vote was unanimously accepted by all clubs. The by-laws with this change will be corrected on the NWACC web site as soon as they are received by web master Jon Cox.
