NWACC MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 9, 2008 Puyallup Fairgrounds
Clubs in attendance:
President Meagan Renick opened the meeting at Noon. She introduced the 2008 NWACC Officers. Meagan Renick, President, Dave Kaiser, Vice President, Barbara Waller, Secretary, Elvira Tucker, Treasurer, Ron Waller, Director, George Schwartz and Ron Waller co-chairs of the newly formed Autocross Committee.
A quorum was established.
Dave Kaiser, Chair of the Competition Committee reported that the theme for this year is to strive for consistency in all areas of the autocross. We will train the course workers better as well as the volunteers for the administration.
George advised that we had solid dates for the summer autocrosses at Sanderson Field in Shelton. The dates are:
Rose City, Corvettes de Olympia and CGCC all volunteered to host one of the events.
George brought up an increase in the autocross to $40.00 per entrant. Motion seconded and unanimously passed.
The minutes of the November 3, 2007 meeting were approved with the correction of the date.
There was a discussion of members requesting permanent car numbers. Jeff Borio made the motion to allow these numbers for all autocrosses. The motion was seconded by Ron Waller and passed. The letters should be 8 inches in height for ease of reading. Please send your permanent number to Dave Kaiser. He will prepare a list of members with permanent numbers and make them available to all of the clubs for their events.
It was brought up that NWACC should market these autocrosses to the non-Corvette clubs as well. This, subject to the 50-60 car limit we are able to handle and still giving all participants several runs per day. It was also discussed that maybe we could consider using Saturday to host "fun-runs" or training for the Novice racers. No final decision was made on this topic.
The vote was polled for the proposed changes to the Show and Shine and the Concours classifications. The vote was unanimously accepted by all clubs. The by-laws with this change will be corrected on the NWACC web site as soon as they are received by web master Jon Cox.
New Business Olympia announced their 28th Annual All City Rally to be held on April 20th. This event is open to ALL car makes.
R Vettes sponsors an n annual event at Lake Sammamish Park on Sunday June 15th
In Portland Nancy’s Cruz-in will be held May 3rd at Nancy's Suburban Chevrolet in Sandy, OR. This event draws over 600 cars each year.
Glass Odyssey has scheduled many events this year and NWACC members are invited to join them at any of these events…February 23rd is a wine tasting tour, on Flag Day, June 14th there will be a tour to the Retail Soldiers Home with rides for the Vets residing there, July 4th there will be a barbeque with fireworks display, July 19th there will be a tour of the USS Stennis. Vettes can park on the pier; tour the aircraft carrier and a submarine. July there is a Whaling Day Parade. Check out the Glass Odyssey for further information on any of these events.
Dave Ellingson suggested that NWACC host several Open Houses throughout the year. This will be looked into.
Columbia River Vettes 16th Annual Bow Tie Bash is scheduled for July 5th
The CGCC Five Star Event will be held July 11-13th.
The CMCS XXX Drive-In Corvette Show is August 24th and Seattle in September 12-14th. The School Daze Driving School and Practice Session is scheduled for July 10th.
Mt Hood has their Car Show on June 21st.
Meagan Renick read the Bremerton Raceways schedule for autocrosses and practice days.

The treasurer’s report was presented by Dave Kaiser. NWACC now has 9 member clubs.

Dave reported that the October 14th Auto cross netted $461.49. The PortaPotty bill of $200.00 is still to be paid. The treasurer’s report was accepted as presented. Arrangements were made to audit the treasurer’s books after the meeting.
President Meagan Renick arrived and conducted the remainder of the meeting. She thanked George from all of the NWACC Clubs for all of his contributions over the years to the betterment of NWACC.
There was no Old Business carried forward from the last meeting.
Under New Business George presented a Show and Shine/ Councours change. The complete narrative is on the NWACC website. NWACC Reps will be presenting the proposal to their clubs at the January meeting, ask for the vote and carry the results to the February meeting.
2008 elections were held by secret ballot. The results are:
Upcoming events were announced by some of the clubs.
George Schwartz and Ron Waller, co- chairs of the Autocross Committee will plan to hold 5 autocrosses in 2008, sponsored by NWACC.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:40 PM.
