NWACC MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 7, 2009 Puyallup WA Fairgrounds (CORRECTED COPY)
Member Clubs in attendance:
Dave Kaiser, NWACC President called the meeting to order at 12:02 PM. A quorum was established.
A member requested a moment of silence for Gary “Soupy” Campbell who recently passed away.
Dave announced that Greg Phander has not paid his Member-at-Large dues and will be removed from the roster. He will notify Jon Cox.
The Minutes were approved as written.
The treasurer’s report was given and there was discussion on the large balance still left in the treasury.
The Rules change proposals were voted on by the individual clubs and the count was called for .The results were:
A report was given on the results of the Competition by George Schwartz. There was a discussion on the entry fees and the following was initially agreed upon. These prices are for NWACC sponsored autocross events only. Clubs sponsoring autocrosses will establish their own rates .The fees will be $35.00 single, 60.00 dual drivers, $90.00 three drivers (same Vehicle), $40.00 non NWACC member... (This was later changed and will be reflected in the minutes).
Discussion of the technical inspection will change to reflect that the entrant MUST sign a document about the size of tires and and that the brakes are in operable condition. There was discussion about the street tires or competition tires.*R compound tires are competitive tires and not allowed in stock class,
The decision was made that there will be NO NWACC meetings held at autocrosses. George advised that he is talking to the Port of Shelton about the maintenance of the track (runway).
The decision was made that there will be NO food at the NWACC sponsored autocrosses.
There will be NO awards presented at the individual NWACC sponsored autocrosses.
Event pricing was discussed again and this is the final decision on autocross pricing for NWACC sponsored autocrosses:
George announced the dates for this year. They are:
Rose City volunteered to allow NWACC use of their new equipment. This is under discussion as the Rose City and the CGCC equipment are not compatible. Further discussions are pending at this time.
NWACC club events were presented by their representatives.
Dave Ellingson discussed the need to support HB 2096-2009-10 regarding front license plates. NWACC reps voted to support. Since the meeting, President Dave Kaiser sent a letter to Representative Christine Rolfes indicating our support.
Tim Cox brought up the issue of Rule change 2.5 to the Competition Committee. His point is that everyone needs to know how the End of year points are tallied. The Competition Committee will put this in writing and present this at the next meeting.
The next meeting will be held at the Kit Carsen restaurant at 9:00 AM on April 19. The Kit Carsen is off exit 76.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:26 PM.
