Dave Ellingson put motion on the table to amend the by‐laws to expand the moratorium to amounts more than $250 to the Port of Shelton and to K&K Insurance only. All others still require checks with two signatures. Jon Cox seconded the motion. Motion Approved.

George Schwartz: Vice President Comments and Autocross Committee Report
Friday set‐up is no longer available at Port of Shelton. Thus, for Sunday morning set‐ups, George really needs help. The gate lock is now a combination lock which is changed at each event. The combination will be given out upon request so that participants may leave and return throughout the day as desired. However, someone is still needed to man the gate to handle waivers. The person must be at least 16 years of age. The gate officially opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 8:30 a.m. Everyone was reminded of the work‐to‐run rule.

No lunch‐time food will be provided. However, Anne Cohen of Rose City Corvettes graciously volunteered to provide morning coffee, and Randy Free of Rose City Corvettes will provide the generator to run the coffee machine.

Participants requesting permanent numbers must contact Dave Kaiser or George Schwartz on the day of the event.

Annual tech inspection was started earlier this year. Once a car passes the inspection, a decal is given to the driver. As of today, 33 cars have decals. The goal is to have tech inspection done at the start of every year.

The NWACC web site has a flyer for the autocross on June 20, 2010, at the Port of Shelton. Jon Cox (web master) and George Schwartz are working on developing a “fillable” registration form.

George Schwartz inquired of the Port of Shelton, and for now, autocross participants can continue to park on the grassy areas.

Dave Kaiser: Retention of Records

Except for historical memorabilia, records should be kept for no more than 7 years.

Financial, insurance, and web site records should be kept for seven years.

Competition records should be kept for 1 year. Thus, at this time, any competition files older than 2009 can be discarded.

If you have such records, please dispose of them accordingly and then let the NWACC board members know what it was and that it has been shredded.

Randy Free: Equipment Committee
No updates today.

Anne Cohen and Jon Cox: Year‐End Banquet Committee

The banquet will be held in Portland, location to be determined, on the first Saturday in November. This year, NWAC is putting on the event. Thus, all proceeds from raffle ticket sales will go to NWACC.

Other Items:
Autocross Events: Except for those in novice class or driving for time only, a participant is not allowed to ride along in someone else’s car on the autocross course. Remember the work‐to‐run rule. Everyone is expected to do their share.

Bow‐Tie Bash:

Mark Marum of Columbia River Corvette Club promoted his club’s upcoming event on July 3 and 4. They will start checking cars in at 7 a.m.

Web Site:

Jon Cox, web master, welcomes input from others. He will post latest roster of members‐at‐large.

Member‐at‐Large Applications:

George Schwartz submitted eight 2010 applications for member‐atlarge status.

IRS 990 Form:

Dave Ellingson reminded everyone to tell their clubs to file the new IRS Form 990 in order to remain tax‐exempt social organizations.

Insurance Update:

Dave Kaiser provided an update regarding staying with K&K Insurance versus switching to the “Northwest” insurance carrier. Discussion ensued. Dave Kaiser requested that club representatives resubmit data for recalculation in light of new changes in fees for the Northwest (insurance carrier). He will report back to clubs in mid‐summer what the costs will be from K& Insurance. With the exception of R‐Vettes Northwest & Capitol City who were not in attendance, generally all eight clubs present felt that we probably should stay with the current program.

Rose City Corvette Classic:

Anne Cohen promoted the Rose City Corvette Club’s upcoming event. It is a four‐day event but feel free to attend any or all of the events during the four days. There will be plenty of parking for trailers.

Five‐Star Event:

Classical Glass will again be holding its event in Dupont, Washington, this year.

National Corvette Museum:
Len Tucker, National Corvette Museum representative and Museum
Board Member, has tickets for sale for $10 for a black convertible. Drawing will be held on Labor Day.

The next NWACC meeting will be held on Sunday, August 8, at the Kit Carson Restaurant in Chehalis,

Washington, Exit 56 off I‐5 at 9:00 AM. If you would like, please come early at 8 a.m. for coffee and/or breakfast.

The meeting was adjourned at 11 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Maurene Goodpaster, NWACC Secretary
